Day 21: Maybe President Obama Isn’t A Christian

Mark Driscoll sent a tweet this morning where he questioned the Christian beliefs that President Obama has expressed versus the actions he’s taken.  Immediately, hate poured out on Driscoll because of it.  But it begs the question:  Is it Biblical to look at the actions a person takes in their life, the things they profess as truth, and compare it to their profession of Christ being their Lord?

it comes down to a matter of discernment. We do need to be fruit inspectors. Will I be perfect? Obviously not. But a consistent lifestyle or a blatant disregard for the Word of God speaks volumes.

Exactly. And it bothers me a bit the number of Christians who are so offended at the idea of looking at someone’s actions vs. their words and pointing out when the two don’t match up.
